Staten Island Companion Dog Training Club has a very long and proud history.
SICDTC was established in 1947 and has been in existence since that time run by our volunteer members.
This amazing group of over 100 active volunteers give freely of their time and knowledge.
Without them we would not exist!
We are a Non-Profit 501c(4) and an AKC sanctioned dog training club.
Our organization's mission is to promote responsible dog ownership through our pet obedience classes. We strive to teach dog owners how to train their dogs to be good canine family members and neighbors.
We strongly believe that a well-trained dog is more likely to be kept in a loving home and not be sent to a shelter.
For those who want to do more with their dogs we offer a variety of fun training classes such as Agility for Fun, Tricks, Therapy Dog and all levels of Competition Agility, Obedience, Rally and Nose Work.
It is important to note that Membership is NOT required to train with us and we do not discriminate against any breed or mixed breed.
