RILEY EARNS HIS UDX
AT SICDTC APRIL TRIAL!! 
Karen & Riley earned their UDX Title under judge Joe Caputa at our April Double UDX Special Trial. For those who do not know, this is not an easy title to earn! According to AKC it may sound easy, but these are the two most difficult classes to qualify in for Obedience!
​SUPER CONGRATIONS TO A GREAT TEAM! 

• 'AKC: Utility Dog Excellent (UDX) — Dogs with UD titles must earn qualifying scores in both Open B and Utility B at 10 trials in order to add the UDX title after their registered names. '

So who got her second leg in Beginner Novice at our OB trial on Fri April 10th??
Sora did!!
Coming in First Place AGAIN with a 190.5 in 5.24 mins!!! She needs one more leg and she will get her OB BN title!! Woohoo!!

Boomer scored 100 in all 8 classes
he was entered in at our Rally trial Sunday!!!!

SARNI CREW WORKED HARD AND IT PAID OFF! THEN THEY DECLARED A NAP TIME!

The Sarni pups had a good day at our Rally trial!
12 year-old Nova scored a 99 and the second place in the first trial. In the second trial, she scored another 99 and fourth place.
 
My lovable goofy boy, Jake, Scored a 97 in advanced at the first trial and a 99 in advanced at the second trial.
 
Little Luna, waited all day for her class in advanced B. She scored an 88 with second place in the first trial and in 89 with first place in the second trial.

Ozzy April 2026

OZZY GETS HIS NW1 WITH  EASE!! 
We spent our Easter Sunday at an NACSW trial in Warwick NY, and Ozzy got his NW1!  Out of 40 dogs entered, Ozzy placed 3rd in the Exterior search, finding the odor in 11 seconds, and we were recognized as a Pronounced team in that search.  He found the odor in the Vehicle search in 11 seconds, but pawed at the odor, so we didn't place (but he had the fastest time so he would've gotten 1st!).  He found the Containers odor in 23 seconds and Interior in 1min & 30seconds!  I am so proud of him, AND us as a team!

WE ARE BRAGGIN' ABOUT OUR MOMS!

Our Moms, Allison Rittenhouse and Maryanne Zaccheo are so excited to share some special news with their club family!
After a great deal of hard work, dedication, and heart, they have officially passed their evaluator exams for AKC ATT. Allison also successfully passed her AKC CGC evaluator exam, and both are now Bright & Beautiful Therapy Dog evaluators.
This journey has meant so much to them, and they truly couldn’t have done it without the support, encouragement, and guidance from so many along the way.
They are beyond grateful to be part of such an amazing community and are incredibly proud to continue this meaningful work. Allison and Maryanne look forward to continuing to grow, give back, and help more teams begin their own therapy dog journeys.
Thank you to everyone who believed in and supported them—they are so excited for what’s ahead! 🐾💛

GINGER-ONE YEAR SURVIVOR AND A COUPLE OF TITLES TOO! 
One year ago, today this little girl had her right lung removed due to a huge cancerous tumor the size of a grapefruit I was told.  Allowing her to go through that surgery at 12 1/2 yrs old was one of the most difficult decisions of my life! But thankfully, all went well and this past weekend she finished her Advanced Buried and Advanced Interior Elite Titles!
Many thanks to all who supported us during that difficult time and celebrate this Milestone with us today! 
Every day with Ginger is a Blessing!

STAR GETS SCENTWORK ELITE ELEMENT TITLE AND MORE!
At SICDTC’s scent work trials this weekend Star earned two legs towards her elite title in Advanced Interior  only two left to go . One leg in Advanced Buried three legs left to go . Two legs in Advanced Containers the first one finished her Advanced Elite title . Then on Sunday she got her first qualifying leg in Excellent Containers.  Believe me I tried to get ears. She just won’t cooperate and bring them forward whenever I try to take her photo.

OZZY & APRIL TAKE NATIONAL HONORS!
I am blown away by these two, achieving such amazing accomplishments together in the same year!
Ozzy was awarded National Select #5 with our Shiloh registry, and #6 with our Shiloh club.  National Selects are awarded to the Top 10 point-earning Shilohs competing in Conformation throughout the entire country!
April was awarded Puppy of the Year by our Shiloh registry, earning a point for each Best of Breed Puppy against all puppies under 12 months competing nationwide!

ATT Title!
March 3rd with the Eastern PA Scent Work Club at Sit, Stay, 'N Play, Stroudsburg, PA.
The AKC Temperament Test (ATT) was developed to test how a dog reacts to a variety of stimuli. Desirable traits are that the dog will be emotionally stable, inquisitive, cooperative, appropriately social for its breed, ready to accept and follow instructions and demonstrates the ability to recover from a startling situation in a reasonable amount of time.

Lucy officially passed her AKC Temperament Test and we couldn’t be more proud! 🦴🐶 She strutted in with confidence, showed off her good girl manners, and totally rocked every part of the test. That tail was wagging and so was my heart!
This was truly a team effort. Thank you to everyone who supported us, offered guidance, training tips, encouragement, and all the cheering from the sidelines. It takes a village — and Lucy is lucky to have the best pack around! 🐾❤️

TINK DEBUTED IN HER FIRST  TRIAL!

Star Earned Some Prime Rib!! 

November 29th Star earned her CDSP Utility title in trial 1.  In order to practice her go outs. I also entered her in the Versatility class. In trial 1 she won High Combined. In CDSP you can win.H.C. From any two classes unlike AKC where it’s from utility and open B. In trial 2 she once again won HC and was in a runoff for H.I.T.  which she also won!  She also earned 15 points towards her OTCH. Luckily, I had some leftover prime rib from Thanksgiving to add to her dinner.  -Ingrid Butt

April Debuted in the Ring with 4 Q's!! 
Big girl April made her WCRL Rally debut and kicked some booty! She competed in the Intro Level and Level 1, and she Q'd EACH RUN, and placed against some awesome (and older) dogs! At not even a year old, I am so proud of her... 4 runs for a first timer in the ring is not easy! We had so much fun out there and she was extremely brave🐾💜

This weekend at Lower Camden Luna took home 2 first place ribbons, with 2 high scores of 97, and her Rally Excellent Title!

JAKEY DOUBLE Q'S BOTH DAYS AT OUR AGILITY TRIAL & LUNA DEBUTS!

​Jake had some great runs at our agility trial this weekend.  On Saturday he and Willie placed 3rd in Novice Fast 20" and placed 2nd in Novice Standard which earned him his Novice title on the 20" course.  
 
On Sunday I ran him and he placed 1st in Novice Fast 20" and 1st in Novice Standard 20" with a perfect score of 100.     Jake will make
his Open Standard debut next week at the Horse Park of NJ.

2.  At our ICKC conformation show last weekend, Ozzy blew me away!  He earned 4 Best Opposite Sex awards and even got his first BEST OF BREED!  There were a ton of amazing Shilohs there, and Ozzy made sure to stand out!  His favorite thing was to give the judges kisses! -Allison Rittenhouse

I spent 2 days at the Metropolitan Baltimore Doberman Pinscher Club's scent work trials in Lancaster Pa.
Entered Shine in Novice -all except for Interiors which he has already from his last two SICDTC Trials.
Star was entered in Advanced except Interiors where she was in Novice.  
Shine's BIG brag he Q'ed in Exterior in all 4 trials and never even thought of lifting his leg! 
Both dogs finished their SWN - Scent Work Novice Overall Title and earned Advanced legs.

Leo earned his first Novice B leg today. I really wasn’t sure if we were ready yet but off, we went. He got a 196 and a second place! Peaches June 2025 P-Novice

GREAT WEEKEND FOR
PEACHES & HOPE!! 
Peaches earned her Preferred Novice Obedience title, with a first place ribbon, on Saturday and returned on Sunday as our star in the Rally Excellent ring, earning scores of 96 and 99 and 3rd and 4th place ribbons. 
As our Rally judge, Anne Rosenberg said,
​"We love Peaches"! 
She is now CH Darby's Gummi Peaches CD PCD BN RE BCAT SWN SCA SIA SEA WDX.
 Not to be outdone, my older girl Hope (no photo) came home with 5 more Master points towards her RACH title after taking 2nd place in the Rally Master class.

SARNI PACK HIT A TRIPLE PLAY AT SICDTC's JUNE RALLY TRIAL!
The Sarni Pups had a very successful day at Sunday's Rally Trial! 

• Nova got 2 more legs towards her Choice title scoring a 94 and first place in trial 1 and scoring a 93 and second place in trial 2
• Jake went totally off leash this time scoring a 95 in trial 1 and scoring a 99 and earning his Advance title in trial 2
• Fourteen month old Luna made her rally debut in the Novice B division with a perfect score of 100 and second place in trial 1 and a 95 and fourth place in trial 2

JANET & CORKY RECEIVE THE FIRST SICDTC FETCH TITLE!!
​Just days after turning 9 years old, Char-Will's Fetching Timber Maiden UDX, BN, RM, RAE, JH, CGCA, TKP, Therapy Dog--known to most of you as CORKY-- joyfully showed us why FETCHING is part of her Registered name by earning the first of the evening's Novice Fetch titles on June 20th.  She was an old pro--holding rock steady between throws, even when the throw fell short and she had to wait for a re-throw. I could not have been more proud--and I think the judges were mighty impressed with my old girl. Now--on to the next levels of Fetch.

STAR'S SNIFFING BRINGS HOME THE RIBBONS!

Star went 5 for 5 at the BCDC Scent Work trial yesterday. Qualifying in Novice A both trials in Containers (first place trial 2) and Buried (second place trial 2).

SARNI PUPS ROCK THE RALLY TRIAL!!
The Sarni pups had a great time at our Sunday Rally trial.
 Nova kept her excitable barks to a minimum in Choice and scored an 85 in the first trial and 90 in the second trial.
 Jake went off leash for the first time in Advance and scored a 98 in the first trial. 
​He had a perfect score of 100 in Intermediate in the second trial.

ALLISON & OZZY HAVE A BUSY TRIAL DEBUT WEEKEND!!
Ozzy and I had a very successful trial weekend!  On Saturday, Ozzy earned his first 2 legs for Level 1 in WCRL Rally and placed 1st and 2nd in the trials!  On Sunday, Ozzy earned his first 2 legs in the Starter Novice level of CDSP Obedience, placing 2nd and 4th in the trials!  I am so proud of him, considering it was our very first trial weekend as a team and I give him a lot of credit for getting out there and giving it all he's got for his first time in the ring!

OZZY OHIO WINNER!!!
Ozzy & I competed in the 2025 IABCA Buckeye Winter Sieger in Xenia, Ohio. Ozzy earned multiple Shiloh Shepherd Breed Champion points and finished his majors! There were hundreds of dogs competing.  In show 2, Ozzy placed 2nd in the Open class and got Reserve Winners Dog. In show 3, Ozzy won 1st place in the Open class, Winners Dog AND Best of Winners in the ISSDC Champion Breed Ring. In show 4, Ozzy won 1st place in the Open class, Winners Dog and won 3rd place in the IABCA Best of Breed shiloh shepherd ring!

DOBBY SNIFFING HARD IN FLORIDA!
Some of you know that I’ve been doing scentwork down here (Florida) with a Chinese Crested (of all breeds!). While we didn’t get a detective leg😢, we finally did finish our Novice Handler Discrimination!  That took a year because very, very few trials offer HD. 
So I’m proud to introduce Dobby
 GCH CH Kaylen’s Ministry of Magic, FDC SWM SHDN TT TKN ,  UKC titles too- Ch, nosework Master and just needs elite vehicles to finish nosework Elite which is UKC’s highest nosework level.  Even prouder to say all titles are owner handled.

PEACHES GETS SOME RIBBONS FOR  HER  BIRTHDAY WEEKEND!! 
Peaches' 4th birthday weekend started off with a bang!
She earned her second Preferred Novice leg, in second place, and her very first Novice B Obedience leg, finishing in fourth place, at the Lower Camden County Dog Training Club before judge Dave Brobst.

LUNA EARNS HER 1ST RALLY TITLE!!

I have to brag because I am SO SO SO very proud of my little NOVICE A dog! We competed in our first Rally Trial at SICDTC in September and received 2 legs towards our Novice title. In October we went to a double Rally Trial at Lower Camden Dog Training Club and got TWO qualifying runs, TWO 1st place ribbons with scores of 95 and 98! And our Rally NOVICE TITLE! I was tearing up for many reasons. I am SO PROUD of Luna! A year ago I never would have thought we would be attending dog shows and killing it! She went from being a scared, anxious dog worried about the world, to a confident, sassy, force of nature. Luna has taught me so much and is just amazing!

After not trialing in a while, Ginger and I were so happy to be entered in the SICDTC Scentwork Trial Oct 19-20.

Then on Sunday, she debuted in Excellent, qualifying in 3 out of 4 runs!

Whiskey (Smoken Red Badger) and I entered the WDAA Western Dressage Online International Challenge, which is a global competition.   We placed 14th out of 40 riders in one of our tests with a score of 71.75% and placed 6th out of 16 riders in the equitation class.   We will be receiving a Top 10 jacket for the Equitation class at the end of the summer. -Joann Sarni

PUPPY OZZY & NOVICE HANDLER ALLISON ROCK THEIR FIRST DOG SHOW!!
This weekend Ozzy & Allison attended their first EVER conformation dog show! Ozzy did great and placed 3rd twice, and even won 1st place.  He also won Best Male Junior Puppy and Best Overall Junior Puppy against all the puppies that competed aged between 6-12 months! He also earned his CGC while there! Super Congratulations to this new team on a great start! Can't wait to see what wonderful things you will do together!

When our students want to "socialize" their dogs, they think that means that they have to interact with every dog and human. Going to dog parks and greeting everyone who walks by.
Infact, it's just the opposite.
Instead, we tell them to "teach your dog to be calm around other dogs and humans".

JayJay Comes Out of Retirement And Wins BIG!!
Last month JayJay came out of retirement for the big Dachshund specialty show in Edison NJ hoping to beat her brother Ace. She did, but then went on to win Best Veteran, and after that Best female wire-hair Dachshund in the show. She will be 10 next month!

My sweet Ginger who spent hours in a crate for 4 days in a row! Love you my little leprechaun

​WE DID IT!! WOOHOO! 
It was my first time planning a Nose Work Trial from the beginning to the end. Well, they say ignorance is bliss and that's true. I happily went into this thinking "how hard could it be?" Well, a slap of reality took me from happy to despair very quickly! I was completely ignorant of all the little endless details that go into this sporting event. Halfway through, I told myself (and anyone who would listen) "I will never do this again!" But, luckily for me, I had some awesome people to help make this trial a success! Our NW Committee was awesome, planned some great search areas and supported me all the way. Susan F coaching me from her new digs in NH (bless her patience with my endless questions), Sarah C, our judge, was so kind to help me and kindly pointed me in the right direction, Ana C our visiting instructor, gave me great suggestions and guidance, John R had my back the entire time-helping me physically measure & plot out search areas when I had to see it, to believe it would work. Barbara M my cheerleader-chanting WE CAN DO IT! kept me from throwing in the towel.
The army of volunteers at the trial was impressive and made everything run as smoothly as it possibly could! Hospitality was just outstanding and delish (even though we had to put the kabash on the corned beef and cabbage! LOL)
Ashley T our trial secretary was amazing and so kind to our exhibitors! What a gem! (Thanks Faith for finding her)
​My MANY MANY heartfelt thanks to all of you! YES! WE DID IT! 
And now I'm feeling alittle like Brittany Spears "oops, I did it again" because we will do it again for October with Barbara taking the wheel with me as co-pilot. Wish us luck! 
EDIT TO ADD: I want to shout the unsung heros of this club-The Trial Cleaning Crew! Before every event we break down the rings, put away equipment and then Frank with the scrubber, John with the leaf blower, Barbara cleaning and vacuuming everything that doesn't move, refilling Poop Bags, Toilet Paper and Paper Towel supplies. Then everyone helps to set up for the trial. Other members volunteer when they can, but these three are ALWAYS there! Thank YOU!

He did fabulous but his mom made a handler error that cost him 10 points and put him out of placing...but so proud of him. He did everything asked with a wagging tail and a prance in his step. ​Sora Earns Her First Rally Intermediate Leg!!
Sora showed in the February SICDTC Rally trial and earned her first leg in Intermediate!!!!! We were tied for fourth place with a score of 93!!! It went to the other handler and dog team because their run time was faster than ours by 14 seconds. All good fun!! So happy she Q'd and only needs two more Qs to get her Rally Intermediate Title (hope to get them in our next trial)!!! SICDTC NEWEST RALLY MASTER!! Izzy Stern 

​Izzy is now retired from Rally-On to the fun stuff-Scentwork!

This brag is very special, because many of us have followed their Rally journey from the start.
Gladys had a goal- to earn a Rally Master title with little Izzy. Now those of us who know Izzy, know that she is the sweetest little senior rescue that you will ever meet! BUT whenever her terrier genes came to the fore front, she could be really -well, shall we say, "distracted"-making Gladys WORK REALLY HARD for this title!! Yes, Izzy had some great moments, which we all applauded. However, she had other moments which made Gladys have to sweat through a run (But we still applauded because Izzy is so darn adorable!) They went into the ring at our February Rally Trial needing that final 10th leg to earn their Rally MASTER & achieve that long awaited goal!
We all held our breath as they completed each sign.
THEY DID IT!!! THE CROWD WENT WILD! SUPER CONGRATS TO A FABULOUS TEAM! Lesson to be learned here is that hard work and determination is how you do things in dog training and in life!

Shine finished his OGM title under judge Nancy Withers. Who was my very first judge back in the dark ages.
OGM stands for Obedience Grand Master.
The dog must earn 2000 points: 600 from Utility B - 600 from Open B plus an additional 800 from either class. Points are given for scores of 190 and above. Starting with 6 points for a 190 up to 15 points for 197 to 200.
He is the 2nd SFT to earn the title- the first male.

​Without any practice these two competed in a Rally competition and  pull off 3 First places with perfect scores. It’s hard to plan Competitions with Steven being away weeks at a time but when they get together it’s fun to watch ❤️ just a few more and they get their RACH (  Rally Champion Title)
